Sinatra_Z - Love and Marriage

I was thinking of writing something rather heavy,
but since it's Monday let's not do that,
something that would go well with coffee would be nice.

So yeah....

Went to a wedding last Friday,
apart from feeling rather embarrassed as everyone else looked rather dashing (while I was wearing my office attire coupled with my work pass) I actually learned something there.

The MC of the wedding whom I believe is the Uncle of the groom gave some good advice to the newlyweds, he said

"Ikut apa Uncle Nasihat ye, bukan ikut apa Uncle buat."

Dodgy indeed...
Anyway he said that...

There are 3 Rules of Mariage.

Rule number 1 is that in life like the Army there are Generals and Majors. Generals being the leader are the decision maker while Major are the one's that implements the decisions. So in a marriage, Husband being the man of the household is definitely the General while his wife is the Major. But with a slight difference, husband being the General means he will make general decisions while the wife being the Major will make the major decisions.

Rule number 2 is that immediately after a marriage the couple must open a joint account. By a joint account it means the husband will deposit the money while the wife withdraws it.

Finally rule number 3, the first 5 years the husband will do the talking while the wife listens, then the following 5 years the wife will then do the talking and the husband listens and the following 5 years the husband will do the talking, the wife will do the talking and the neighbour listens.

Some of my friends are getting married in the upcoming months and I wish for all the best for them. May they only marry once, have loads of arguments in the upcoming years and many more make up sessions after that.

If you need some pointers on how to have a long lasting marriage,
maybe this can help...

You don't need flowers or chocolates or corny poetry.
Sometimes it's in the most mundane things in life...... Like buying fish.

Frank Sinatra once sang
Love and Marriage.. They go together like a horse and carriage.

As for me?

Well that has been answered in a conversation I had just before the wedding..

"Kak tak pergi ke kenduri?"

"Malam ni ada hal la, takpelah awak punya nanti saya mesti pergi."

"Alaa kenduri apa nya, calon pun belum ada lagi."

"Itulah kena sabat menanti."

"Masaalahnya kak, menanti pun belum lagi.."

Lambat lagi nampaknya, muda lagi tu.

P/S-

Abang aku pun belum kahwin lagi.... Aku tunggu dia dulu. Kuang Kuang Kuang
